Chocolate Chip Cookie Recipe Browned Butter
Ingredients
For this delicious chocolate chip cookie recipe browned butter you will need the following ingredients:
2 cups (280 g) all-purpose flour, 1 teaspoon baking soda, 1 teaspoon baking powder, 1 teaspoon salt, 3/4 cup (170 g) salted butter, 1/2 cup (100 g) packed light brown sugar, 1/2 cup (100 g) granulated sugar, 2 large eggs, 2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract, 1 1/2 cups (270 g) semisweet chocolate chips.
All of these ingredients can easily be found in any grocery store.
Instructions
Before beginning to make the cookies, preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line two baking sheets with parchment paper or silicone baking mats.
In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt. Set aside.
In a medium saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Once melted, the butter will start to foam and then the color will start to change. Keep cooking the butter, stirring occasionally, until it turns a golden brown color and has a nutty aroma. This should take about 5-7 minutes. Remove the butter from heat and allow it to cool for 10 minutes.
In a large bowl, use a mixer set to low speed to mix the browned butter and both sugars until they are light and fluffy. Add in the eggs and vanilla extract and mix until everything is combined. Slowly add in the flour mixture, mixing until just incorporated. Stir in the chocolate chips.
Using a cookie scoop or tablespoon, scoop the cookie dough onto the prepared baking sheets. Bake the cookies for 12-14 minutes until they are lightly golden brown. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheets for 5 minutes before transferring them to a cooling rack. Enjoy!
