Chocolate Chip Cookies Recipe Metric

Ingredients
- 225g butter, softened
- 200g light brown sugar
- 100g caster sugar
- 2 eggs, beaten

- 2 teaspoons cornflour
- 200g dark chocolate chips
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 180°C (160°C for fan assisted ovens) and prepare a baking tray with greaseproof paper. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugars until light and fluffy. Beat in the eggs and vanilla extract until everything is well combined.
Sift in the flour, bicarbonate of soda and cornflour, and mix until everything is combined. Finally, stir in the chocolate chips until they are evenly distributed throughout the mixture.
Using your hands, roll the mixture into small balls and place them onto the baking tray at least 5cm apart. Bake in the oven for 10-12 minutes, or until the cookies are golden-brown. Allow to cool for a few minutes on the tray before transferring them to a cooling rack.
